Hello! I’m Michael, but you can call me Mike.

Your wedding should feel like your day. I bring calm direction, an eye for the light, and plenty of enthusiasm, so you can feel comfortable in front of the camera and enjoy the people around you.

I grew up on California’s Central Coast and began photographing in high school, working part time with an editorial and portrait photographer. I launched Michael Stephens Photography in 2010 and have since had the privilege of photographing more than 550 weddings. Many couples find me through past clients, which means a great deal to me.

Outside photography, I’m a follower of Jesus, a husband, and a father to three wonderful children. I love traveling with my family, exploring outdoors, great food, books, Scotland, Angels baseball, and concerts.

I care about both the photographs and your experience making them. My aim is to help you feel at ease, keep portraits natural, and capture the moments you’ll want to return to for years.
