{James & Monica} Wedding – Lake Piru, CA

I was so pumped when Monica asked me to photograph her wedding in Peru!I though, "Sweet, I can finally cross off "Go to Machu Picchu" from my bucket list"!  I just had to make sure my passport was current.  There was only one thing though.  It seemed like Monica had spelled Peru incorrectly.  She wrote "Piru" instead of "Peru".Hmmm.No big deal. "Piru" is probably how the locals spell it.  So I decided to Google it...Lake Piru is in California and is located about 40 minutes east of Ventura.  It is home to a National Historic Landmark and working ranch called Rancho Camulos.  This is where Monica and James were getting married.  (Monica had been referred to me by one of my previous clients, Andrea.)I truly had an incredible time photographing James and Monica's wedding.  The weather was amazing. The ranch offered many awesome shooting locations.  Monica and James' family and friends were all super sweet.  Both Monica and James were so cool and easy going.  It felt like one big happy family decided to meet up and throw a party in Peru... Piru.I really do have the best job in the world:)Monica and James,I can't thank you enough for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day.  It was an honor and a day I will never forget. Now for the pictures!
